This is how I used to market myself: I didn’t want to commit to just one style of illustration. My curiosity demanded more.
I began my career as a graphic designer at a commercial agency in Luleå, in northern Sweden. There, I had the opportunity to create illustrations and learned a lot from their illustrator, Anders. He taught me everything about using a pen and the airbrush.
After that, I became an Art Director, but I always kept illustration close to my heart.
In 2002, I moved to Stockholm while still working as an Art Director in northern Sweden. After about two years of weekly commuting from Stockholm to Luleå, I decided to become a full-time freelance illustrator.
In 2005, I got my first agent, Lemonade in London. They brought me clients like 3, Tesco, Richmond Publishing, and Scotland on Sunday.
In 2006, I started working with an agent in Chicago, Langley Creative. It was a very fruitful cooperation until Sharon Langley retired and her assistant, Jean Blasco, took over and started Blasco Creative Artists in 2010. I stayed with them until 2017.
In 2007, I also secured a Swedish agent, Ammo Agentur, and began working with an agent in Lisbon, Portugal, WHO.
Here, I will show you some of my illustrations from the late ’90s to the present.
